UCTC 2007-2008 Student of the Year
Nikolas (Nik) Geroliminis of the UC Berkeley Transportation Engineering program is the University of California Transportation Center (UCTC) Student of the Year. An expert in transportation science, traffic theory and traffic control, Nik has already published a number of journal articles and working papers. He is currently finishing his PhD dissertation on the management of traffic in urban centers, under the guidance of Carlos Daganzo. His work is funded both by the Volvo Center of Excellence on Future Urban Transport and by a UCTC project. An enthusiastic teacher, Nik has accepted an assistant professorship at the University of Minnesota beginning January 2008.
