In winter 2009, UCTC began publishing Policy Briefs: two-page, illustrated summaries of key research findings. Policy Briefs aim to bridge research and practice in an easily readable and digestible format.
UCTC mails out hard copies of each policy brief to a select mailing list, targeting practitioners whom we believe will find the brief of particular interest. Anyone can email us to request hard copies, as long as supplies last.
Current Policy Briefs are listed below. Please check back often, as we expect to add more regularly.
- PB-2010-03: "Intelligent" Ways to Cut Transportation's CO2 Emissions, Matthew Barth and Kanok Boriboonsomsin, UC Riverside. Based on UCTC Faculty Research Paper FR-2010-11 and "Traffic Congestion and Greenhouse Gases," in ACCESS 35.
- PB-2010-02: The Price of Unwanted Parking, Michael Manville and Donald Shoup, UCLA. Based on UCTC Faculty Research Paper FR-2010-03.
